Select Interiors, the Oriental Rug Shop, is one of a very few independent specialist oriental rug shops to be found in the UK. The business was started in the mid-eighties by John Rhodes who was first introduced to hand-woven oriental rugs in an earlier decade whilst working in London with Oriental Carpet Merchants. John was joined by his wife Pam in more recent years.

The showrooms and gallery are situated on the outskirts of Chesterfield, Derbyshire, close to the Peak District National Park, in a wonderful three story Victorian property, with a courtyard and gallery to the rear, and off street parking.

The Oriental Rug Shop offers a diverse selection of oriental rugs, carpets and kilims, including the traditional, the unusual and the difficult to find. The stock is comprehensive, interesting and full of colour. From fine Keshan carpets to Tribal rugs and kilims, traditional to contemporary, and with other wall hangings, textiles, and artefacts on offer.
